Check out one of the many trails near Addicks Reservoir. This peaceful trail is located between Clay Road and I-10. Majority of this trail is covered, however the gravel trail leading to the top of the hill is exposed. This trail is also suitable for any fitness level. For an urban trail, there are a variety of bird species and water snakes! So, keep an eye out!

It’s definitely a good beginner trail or for a short power run. Not really for long distance runners unless you go off the concrete trail and onto the dirt path on the hill.

My first thought was I wasn’t sure where to park. It was a Saturday so I parked in the elementary school parking lot. When I got back people had parked on the road next to the gigantic house (you’ll know the one). I cut from the sidewalk up to the top of the levee and walked along the gravel path. The overlook of the reservoir was nice. In the morning, it wasn’t too crowded and I let my lab walk off leash. There aren’t any benches, water fountains, or shade spots. Which is fine, as long as you know what to expect.

Quiet run this morning lots of wildlife saw water snakes and lots of birds for a urban trail Mostly covered but there is a gravel trail that is on exposed at the top of the hill that would be good to run if it wasn’t so hot right now

Simple gravel trail along the top of Addicks. Trail from Wickhollow parking lot (residents only - some road parking) to Clay street and return. Nice scenery and plenty of wildlife by trail. Peaceful morning walk

Really nice for an urban trail so close to a major freeway.

I go hear and run with my dogs off leash. You can go off the trail an in to the woods and there are lots of fun things to discover. In the woods there are a lot of unofficial trails. The Levy trail continues further than this map is showing. It goes north of clay rd and beyond. But be careful crossing clay.
