Great moderate/challenging hike! NOTE: PARK IS ONLY OPEN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY CURRENTLY (SUMMER 2018)! Sign on the gate said it’s closed Mon-Friday because they’re doing lots of improvements on it! Falls were pretty low on water because it’s been dry lately, but still pretty and the creek below was perfect for a 2-year-old to play in! Jacob’s Ladder is definitely a challenge and hardest at the top part. Very nice bathrooms and picnic pavilion at parking lot. We can’t wait to see how nice the new overlook/stairs they’re building will be!

Hidden jewel! Get out and explore this park. Ongoing improvements will only make it better. You can choose from the various trails the level of intensity you want. Love it!

I have worked on and hiked this park since before it's inception. Still one of my favorite places to hike.

This was a hike for sure and worth the elevation and mud. What a workout. My 4 y/o Grandson’s first hike, he was a champ. His Mom & I are so proud. There we’re several water falls to enjoy.

This was a gorgeous and definitely a challenging hike. Trail can be slick in some places. Lots of tree cover so it wasn’t too hot. Nice and quiet, not too many people out on the trail. The falls are fantastic! Did this with my 6 and 10 year olds. We will be going back.

This is one of our favorite locations to hike and explore. The trails are steep and can be very slick in wet weather. There are two small falls located here.

It’s a very good hiking trail can be risky as it is slick in a few spots on the southern slope and Jacobs ladder is not for the beginner however taking the old log road back up is a really good hike back to the top it’s really beautiful this time of year.

* NOTE: The entrance is off of Hwy 52 W, (655 Nature Trail Way), not Winding Stairs Lane.
A great set of trails with an easy paved portion to overlooks - great for strollers, etc.. Then it changes to mostly moderate sections and a more challenging portion. In addition to the falls and cascades, it is great for wildflowers, wildlife tracks and birding.

Absolutely Incredible! Steep, challenging, peaceful, quite, picturesque! A rose among thorns! We will be back very soon!

what a beautiful place, the falls and wildflowers are amazing. highly recommended. part of the upper trail is paved which makes it great for those that cannot do the ups and downs to enjoy the beauty.

Very well maintained, easy access. The cascades and jacob’s ladder were challenging. Definitely coming back.

Winding stairs is a work in progress. Every time I go, more has been done to make it a great place. That being said, there are still parts of the park that are rather risky. Bring a good set of boots and a camera. Love it

Winding Stairs Park entrance is on Nature Trail Way not on Winding Stairs Lane. All Trails and Google map sent us on wild goose chase. Breathtaking views, multiple waterfalls, rushing cascades, and an abundance of wild flowers. Definitely go in the spring for the flowers, can't wait to go back in the fall.

so many wildflowers! hiked up to the bottom of the falls but when they cut trees down for the view of the overlook, they let the trees fall into the gorge making it a scramble to get a good picture of the falls.

The trails are nice, and well marked. Thought the gates used has handrails was crafty. (Handrails for all heights:) Jacobs Ladder is definitely steep! Lots of pretty

It’s wonderful the amount of work they have done over the past couple of years. As it is only 10 miles from home, it will be our spur of the moment spot...

Definitely worth a trip if your in the area. Good local hike

We hiked when the park was technically closed, but wanted to see the cascades frozen. Since the trails are under construction hiking sticks are useful. Jacob's Ladder is tough but only a short distance.
