Whigg Ridge Trail is a 6.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Tellico Plains, Tennessee that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Trail #86.I would have to agree on the rating of Hard. The trail is lightly used based on my experience. The trail is non-existent in some places. We lost it several times on our way up. If you are not looking for the trail on either end of it you will miss it, You need to pay close attention. I think it would be a more enjoyable hike if it was used more.
