It was a beautiful trip. The other hikers were very pleasant, and the trail was easy to find even in leaves. We had some difficulty finding the parking lot for the twin arches, but we found it by following the gravel road all the way to the end. Bathrooms and parking lot were well maintained. The loop trail is very well marked, and can be completed in a day. With our troop we camped out outside of the loop on the slave falls trail. It followed a gorgeous valley that makes for great camping in multiple spots. Would highly recommend.

Awesome trail. Lots to see. The lodge is only open to their guests. Like others say, go clockwise.

A true moderately difficult, moderately trafficked hike. It was a beautiful day, there are lots of stairs and ladders so good conditions are best. We did the twin arches loop to Jake’s Place, which would be a fantastic place for a picnic. It’s at about the 1/2 way point. Another reviewer suggested going clockwise- as someone who went counter clockwise, go clockwise!

BackpackingGreat!

I’ve done many trails in BSF and this is one of my favs. We backpacked overnight and found a nice spot near Chariot Creek. I would recommend doing the loop clockwise because of the incline variation is much easier and gradual at the end and steeper going down at the beginning. Don’t forget to venture on top of the both arches for excellent views. Bring bug spray. We got a few chigger bites along the way.

BackpackingBugsGreat!

BEAUTIFUL views, well marked, the arches are amazing. Backpacking in the area and so glad we did this trail. The Charit Lodge and grounds were so peaceful. The trail itself was very well maintained and the views were well worth the stair climbing. I'll no doubt do this one again.

Walking

This is my favorite hike I've done since being back from Utah. It has a little bit of everything. it starts with a stroll through the forest. After the stroll you decline down a rock face and a little stroll longer and you arrive at the arches. A very impressive sight to say the least these two arches are fantastic. The walk continues on down to the forest until you come across charit creek lodge. A nice mile stroll along the creek, before climbing out of everything you decended. The climb up is highlighted by big rock concaves and impressive sites and it runs back into Arches. Enjoy the arches and the climb up the rock face and stroll back out the woods and you have completed this wonderful hike.

Fun, short, technically easy but be prepared for lots of steep stairs. Arches are really cool! Definitely worth the visit.

HikingGreat!RockyScramble

We did the out and back part of this hike so it was less than 2 miles. If you have dogs or small children I would recommend going to the right where the stairs are less steep. And by steep, I mean practically a ladder if you go to the right. You can always come back up the other side if wanted but going down would be impossible with small kiddos or pets. The trail itself is beautiful and very unique.
