Lots of trash during the hike and the trailhead was kind of hard to find. Also, the interstate goes right along the trail so you get those noises the whole time. But, overall it was a great hike, and the views are rewarding!! We hiked during the rain and it was nice as trees provided coverage.

Great little hike lots of swimming holes and a little bit of a incline , great view the only sad thing is there is sooooo much trash every where and it doesn’t seem like the park is well cared for. Always super upsetting . But would def do this hike again- just next time bring some trash bags.

Great hike. Took the kids (5 and 9) and parents. (mid-60s) Overall, a great challenge for the group with a rewarding view. I'd advise being aware of the conditions, as the rocks were very slick after the previous day's rain. Perhaps a dry afternoon would have been best for my crew!

This is a wonderful trail. The falls are great and the water is super cold… perfect after sweating your a$$ off hiking back to the car. The overlook at Eagle Bluff is awesome as well. At only 1.1 miles each way, I just wish it was longer.

A true hidden beauty! Absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful man made falls near the base of the hike. Then you ascend steeply for the remainder to reach a great lookout/picnic spot!

Exactly what I was looking for!
Quick fun little hike with a lot of mini rivers and waterfalls into a rewarding view at the top.
Not terribly difficult and up and down in around 45-1h for a moderate hiker.

Great short hike that’s just a quick detour off 75. Triple Falls are neat and the overlook is great. Can see all the way to the Smokies on a clear day. Trail is pretty worn out in some places due to erosion and overuse.

I have hiked this trail several times, but today the trail was completely washed out in several areas after the bridge. Also there were several trees over the trail.

The water was really flowing and the trail was really muddy. I love all the falls and cascades....beautiful.

Easy hike.

The view from the lookout is well worth the hike. We stopped to break up the drive down to Asheville from Ohio and this hike definitely gave our legs the stretch we were looking for! We also had our dog, she had no troubles with the path but there was broken glass at the beginning and we had to wipe her down after the hike from all the mud. Glad we had hiking boots on to keep our feet dry.

This trail is great if you can get past the garbage, clothes, and glass at the beginning. So many little falls, cascades, and fun swimming spots. Love the diversity of this trail. Interstate noise can be heard but just tune it out and enjoy the beautiful creek!

Great short hike with awesome waterfalls and an amazing view at the top. I’ve known about this trail for a long time and have seen the peak from the interstate thousands of times but I only finally got around to doing it today. And now I can’t wait to go back. There was very little trash on the trail but I could see where it is probably much more popular in the summer. The climb after the foot bridge is short but gets the heart going. Highly recommend for a great, quick hike.

Great short hike!! Falls are not that far in from the parking and they are beautiful. It has rained for a couple days so maybe the extra water made them that more beautiful... not sure. Seem like a perfect swimming hole in the summer. Once you are past the falls the climb begins. I can see this being a strenuous hike in the heat but a 55 degree day made it perfect. Once at the top you have a great 360 view of it all. You can even see the Smoky Mountains in the distance. Looks as a fire has gone through the peak sometime in the recent past as its pretty bare at the top and everything in charcoal. Still worth the climb to see it though.

Beautiful falls especially with recent abundance of rain. A good trail for all skills levels. Not a lot of parking or indication your there so make you use the apps directions.

Enjoy abundant cascades early in the hike. We hiked in February after several days of rain, so the water was dramatic. The bare winter trees allow views of crags well above the stream. Some mud. Some trail water. But our feet stayed dry. The last falls come bursting through a towering (man-made but who cares) slot. After the falls you cross on a charming footbridge and switch your way up to the impressive, rocky summit ridge. This clear day gave us views of the Smokies on the east horizon and I-75 to the west below. Some trash, yes. Some graffiti, yes. Ignore it and enjoy this scenic, compact hike.

A very scenic trail and not that hard to get to.

Easy to mistake road to the trailhead as a driveway. Once you get past the falls and cross the bridge, the trail became much more difficult due to mud. Would recommend trekking poles if muddy. Definitely worth the trip to the top.

I was on the way back from a job site last July and wanted to catch a good uphill hike. it was too late and too hot to do the longer 5+ mile route. The Rangers at the Cumberland Trail office suggested catching this trail up to the top. There is a pull off about halfway up Shelton Hollow Ln to park. Although the amount of trash suggests the locals like to party at the locale, the Rangers assured me that they had not had issues. The trail follows a nice creek the first bit and there is an abundance of trash (cans, wrappers, clothing :), etc..) but once you get past a couple of fire rings and the climb begins the trash diminishes rapidly. there are several really cool swimming holes/waterfalls along the way. The creek follows a unique vertical rock cut made for the adjacent interstate. Several locals were swimming on this day. The trail climbs steadily, eventually crosses the creek and then begins to switch back up to the top. It is a nice view of the surrounding area.

tough hike in just a couple of miles. nice view from the top.

Quick payoff, 1/8 of a mile in is the falls which are really cool almost like man made slot canyons. Then the hike gets steep and rocky but not hard to hike. Nice boulder half way up that has some fun low grade problems if you wearing approach shoes. It ends on the peak which is all rock and has 360 views.

We did this with a couple of 8 year olds. Pretty good short hike. About 1 mile to the top with views north to Jacksboro and Cove Lake to the south. Last half on the way up is a little steep. Great water falls

The incline makes it a hard hike. The waterfalls were beautiful, even though it had not rained in two weeks. The hike to the top had breathtaking views. Truly was worth the hike.

This hike was a lot of fun! The falls were beautiful, and the hike up was actually really challenging for me, but really really fun. The bridge was cool , and a little farther up there is an awesome slanted rock crossing thing.....it was great. I haven't hiked since 2000, and this hike has me hooked! I give it five stars and two thumbs up! Cant wait till I hike more of the C.T.!
