came here on a beautiful day in october and the peace and beauty filled the air. most would find this place boring but i found it hard to leave. i came later that day with a sub for dinner and sat for a few hours looking out of the waters. the history of the place was a bonus.

This is not much of a trail (indicated by the mileage), but I’m glad it is listed here regardless because I would not have heard of it. This was perfect for my 1yr old to walk, explore, and have a picnic. Very serene too. This is a VERY SHORT & PAVED walking path that takes you to an area where settlers and Native Americans use to meet for discussion. There are awesome views of the mountains, a large grassy area, and water beyond the rocks surrounding it. Fort Loudon is visible from here as well. This would be a great “trail” to bring young kids to to explore and fly kites etc.
