Great loop. It starts in the West parking lot. Start walking up the paved road, when the lake comes in to view, look for a right entrance into the woods. Stay right, the loop should take you about 20 minutes to get to the next trail crossing. Please note that dogs and running are only allowed on the paved sections in this park.

Very majestic and beautiful trail through the woods. High traffic on weekends so try going during the week. Bring a light coat when walking around the water.

HikingGreat!

Got our heart rate going that first mile. Then downhill to enjoy the rest of the way. Shaded but all the little streams were dry. No overviews but pretty wooded area to ourselves. Some loose rock the first part of the trail so wear good shoes and watch where you step. Relaxing start/finish by the lake.

The trail was tough with steep inclines but it became brutal because our leader set a rediculous pace.

This trail covers my favorite area in Radnor Lake: South Cove. Fewer people travel this trail, so it’s more peaceful, the trail is less worn and eroded, and more bird song fills the canopy. Note: There is another Radnor Lake South Cove hike I like better: South Cove Loop Trail. Where this hike returns along the lake road, the loop trail returns through the forest via South Lake Trail.

Nice trail system but busy. Go early or when cooler out. This hike was done when it was about 40 degrees and after a day of rain and it was beautiful. The lake trail is nice but is the busiest. Both the garnier ridge and south cove loop are a little less traveled and were really nice with the downed leaves adding some color This recording is for the entire trail system.

Great trail! Heavily wooded and secluded. It had some pretty steep ascents but also several peaceful bench stops along the way.

Beautiful trail with some pretty steep ascents. Much less traffic than the Lake Trail and I really enjoyed the solitude.

Great loop. WiFi available during the hike. Start in the West parking lot - start walking up the paved road. When the lake comes in to view, look for a right entrance into the woods. Stay right. The loop should take you about 19 minutes to get to the next trail crossing. For an extra workout - touch the sign and retrace the path that was just climbed.

Easy at times and a bit on the moderate side as the hill gets steeper. Trail varies from rocky to mulch. Beautiful tree stands.

This hike should be classified as Moderate. There is a pretty steep hill but the hike is beautiful and I would definitely recommend this trail!

First to Review

I would not rate this as easy. There is a steep hill to climb that makes this more of a moderate hike. Some may even find it difficult. It is a beautiful hike though. Take plenty of water when temp and humidity is high.
