Rocky old road for most of the way. But the cliff trail is beautiful along with the creek

Very good trail. A solid day hike of 5-6 hours if you stop for lunch and then again to refill water. Advise start in early morning and travel clockwise to Edwards Point, keeping sun at your back until Mushroom Rock. Only met a handful of people in and around trailheads. Colors were peak or near peak on 11/11/19. At times the natural and reflecting light was simply stunning. An amazing day out.

Took this loop on Nov 4th. Was good except for the yellow trail portion which wasn’t as well marked and consisted of ATV trails with puddles of stinky mud. Would recommend doing the orange to orange/yellow and coming back on the same trail.

Hiked this path but Alltrails wouldn't record for some reason. Good, long day hike. If you plan to do the whole thing I suggest leaving the kids at home, but the trip to Edwards Point is easy enough.
