This is not the Pot Point Loop Trail. Go to the Prentice Cooper State Forest website and download the map. My rating is for the actual trail.

I walked it, but you can drive the whole thing. It’s a logging road: gravel and sand. There is one section with some views due to clear-cutting, but no climactic panorama at any point. Skip it. Much better options nearby in the park.

Nice trail. Obviously an old logging road. It’s a one lane road. Impossible to get lost. Lots of short grades. Small lake, deep woods, nice views. The trail actually ends and loops back before the river is visible. Actually should be rated moderate accordingly to my rating calculator. 5.7 miles with 501’ elevation gain.
