Great drive on northern part of parkway. Many nice little trails along the way and it is laid out nicely to create a sense of continuous green space

I was just amazed at the beauty of the area and the numerous trails and historic sites. I want to go back and spend a week exploring the length of it.

Did this some time ago but I still remember the scenery, history and I think a waterfall. I remember doing a couple nice side tails.

We have taken this drive many times. The roads are very well maintained. The rest areas are conveniently spaced. There are short nature trails, waterfalls, and many historic points. There is even a campground at Lewis Merriweather if you need an overnight stop. One of our favorite drives!
