Long Arm Branch is a 3.5 mile point-to-point trail leading to Bearwallow Gap. It is the starting point to Pine Ridge Falls. This yellow-blazed horse trail leads to Bearwallow Gap where it connects with a forest service road which leads to Higgins Creek.

Great hike, the information here is more for the Long Arm Branch Cascades than it is the actual trail. It's the same trail but the cascades are kind of that halfway point. Around 2.1 miles you see the cascade followed by about another 2.1 or 2.2 miles more of yellow blazes to keep following up into the mountains. The blazes eventually end where there are 3 other trails/roads that meet in one area. Which must be the gap area mentioned in the description. Technically speaking I recorded 8.4 miles as the out and back for Long Arm Branch Trail. My recording says 9 because I got a little curious and took some extra side trails while exploring the area more.

Secluded, very pretty hike. Some nice uphill terrain and a lot of opportunity to see wild life. Only problem is that the wild life includes tics. Wear long pants and spray for bugs!

Short hike to a pretty, but on the small size, waterfall if you go left at the fork after the creek crossing.
