Great trail. Well maintained. The signage could be improved.

Like other reviewers have said, pretty straight forward trail. Up the mountain then down the mountain. I will add that with the leafs on the ground, it could be very easy to get lost. Also, once the app tells you you’ve made it to the end, keep going if you want the views.

Very much a straight up and straight down trail. Good hike and great views from sunset rock.

Trail was in great shape. I used 30 lb Ruck. Plus had 10 lbs in water bladder.

Great view of the Chattanooga Valley. Worth the every inclined step. Not too difficult but wouldn’t make it a first hike.

A very enjoyable hike. Not the most scenic, but great exercise especially towards the top.

Great views, you can access the trail-head from the top and you will immediately be at the overlook. However, i'm sure the trail-head starts at the bottom of this mountain, so it all depends on whether you want to see a view or have a 3 mile hike to a rewarding view.

it's a great hike, but it does go right up the side of the mountain. the views all the way up are a constant reward for your effort, and the view from sunset rock is worth every inch of the climb! it's a great workout!

This trail is great! It has a continuously variable uphill slant; however, I was OK a part from burning calves. Toward the latter half of the trail you gain glimpses of the land. It is an absolutely wonderful trek that truly rewards those that persist and endure the climb.

Really enjoyed the hike despite the early step inclines. My hiking partner was new at hiking and had difficulty dealing with the early part which wore her out so we turned around a quarter mile short of Sunset Rock. This trail is not for out of shape people.

Great trail minus the poison ivy encroaching in some sections. 5 adults and 5 kids (ages: 7-9)
