My family hike this trail just after a rainfall. It was absolutely beautiful as we walked along the streams banks. Highly recommended!

I dound this trail veryeasy. The signs to find are not obvious. You start at Old Mac Trailhead and Judge Branch is about 5 miles on roght. Beautiful waterfalls near wnd and them can return on Old Mac.

Muddy

Turn at half way through the loop requires a river crossing. River current was too intense to safely cross it with a dog, due to significant rain the day before.

Not 4 miles, a little over 3 if you add in the interpretive loop, other wise right under 3 miles. Nice trail for my dogs, easy terrain and only saw 3 other people out there. Unfortunately stream mostly dried up.

This was a very easy hike it took me and my husband less than two hours to hike it and we stopped a lot to enjoy the neat insects we found. It registered on our gps as only 3.2 Miles that’s with starting at parking lot going out on judge branch and coming back on part of ol mac. We even did the interpretive loop. very pretty home we would definitely do it again. There is a camp sight just off the trail we’re considering camping at soon too.

Easy. Well maintained & marked. Footing solid even after a rain. Nice walk along a pretty stream. Falls at the end. Will get your feet wet when crossing the branch at the end. Return via South Mac Tr to vary the scenery.
