WalkingGreat!

we too the 3.1 mile hike around the lake. It was mostly flat, almost full shade the entire hike. Beautiful views! Our dog loved it, and we had a great picnic on the grass at the beach after!

WalkingGreat!

Follow signs to "beach" for parking. $3 to park near trail-cash only. Great easy loop trail. Beautiful setting with the lake nestled in the mountains. Signs indicate that beginning September 1, 2020 a portion of the trail will be closed for footbridge repair/rebuild.

This was a very nice easy trail in great condition. My wife and I are in our 70’s and enjoyed it very much, no walking sticks required.

Gate closed for covid 19. Added .3 miles to walk to boat ramp to start trail. Nice path with a few blow downs but only one tree across trail. Nice scenic relaxing hike.

Great, easy and beautiful trail! Beautiful scenery on the trail of the mountains, the lake, the dam, the trees, creeks, a little waterfall, flowers, mushrooms, fungi, etc. Our family had a wonderful time!

Great trail to relax and enjoy. Easy to walk or bike. It was empty when we were there but I could see it being really busy in warmer weather and the fall. That might be a drawback, but overall we really enjoyed it.

Clean, easy and scenic trail. A little too early for the wildflowers but lovely, nonetheless. Will explore again.

Great place to relax and walk in nature. Covered this trail many times on foot and bike. Wonderful place to introduce kids to hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. Agreeably flat and many spots to pull off and coach them on trail do’s and don’t s. :) As stated can be soggy and crossing the dam can be a bit frightening to some in the group! All in all a family favorite at one of the best campgrounds in these parts.

A friend and I hiked this trail the other day with our sons in our Osprey Poco packs and the dogs on leashes and loved the trail and the wonderful views!!! Very relaxing hike, flat but fun to do the loop around the lake and have 24/7 views during the 3.1 miles. The only complaint I have is that some of the areas can be washed out or very muddy and flooded, thanks to nature and all the rain we’ve had lately, but if you don’t mind trudging though it for a few minutes it’s really not a big deal.

The trail is DOG FRIENDLY. Amazing place, beautiful mountain views, easy stroll. Should’ve brought kayaks! Will definitely be back to car camp & kayak. Total hidden treasure... actually considered not leaving a good review so as not to attract more people & dogs to this slice of heaven.
