We’ve had LOTS of rain so the trail hasn’t had time to dry, very muddy. There were several Heron in the lake which was amazing to see. There was lots of road noise around the lake area. Still a very nice trail.

Really fun trial close to downtown. The expert trail was a little overgrown and had some fallen trees that made navigating and staying on trail difficult at times. Overall had a good time and will definitely be back.

I enjoy this area for many reasons, it’s great for hiking and kayaking. The uphill switchbacks are a great workout with beautiful views. There are 2 different entrances to the park, one with a boat launch and the other for hiking or biking. I recommend trying this trail.

When I went, it was the middle of a hot day in early June. Only the north entrance was open. I encountered less than 10 other ppl during my 1.5 hours uphill towards the south parking lot then back on Wimp’s pass (begrudgingly only due to the name). It was mid-afternoon and all the people I saw appeared towards the end of my jaunt. Not over burdened by insects or “technical” terrain. The uphill was definitely that. The low way back was flat and easy. I think due to the proximity to Knoxville this system is excellent.

Great easy trail with beautiful lake/river views. I love the option to hike different difficulties and change up the scenery. Normally I dislike trails with multiple trails all attached, but these were clear and not all over the place.

Directions from alltrails app are not correct. Entrance is prior to where it has you turn.

Also please note there is a leash law in TN. I encountered 2 off-leash dogs on this trail. It’s one thing if your dog obeys all commands even while distracted, it’s another if your dog runs up to my often time unfriendly and protective leashed dog and puts all of us, including my child, in danger. USE A DANG LEASH... PLEASE!

Pretty water views and no litter make this little park a nice place to visit. There were only a few people when we were there, -all of them fishing. The entrance is hidden, so of you've not been before, it will creep up on you. Also of note, there are actually 2 entrances-- one north, one south of the bridge, and both have parking.

Awesome ... nice trails for beginner and expert , once you get into the mountain ain't matter if you are beginner or expert ... take the challenge and you will make it.

Perfect trail for a quick hike! Close to home & a little cardio workout as there are some small inclines here & there (not steep at all) All in all great afternoon or morning hike if you're trying to squeeze in aome exercise

I didn't feel safe on this trail alone. I actually only got about a half mile in, and I turned back and went to my car. There was a family sleeping in a car at the trailhead, as well. I'm sure the view of the water is great if you get further down the trail, though.

Nice little park. Frequent with mountain bikers, so just be aware.

probably a good trail... showed up here with my dog to find all kinds of military people in uniform doing stuff. I guess I interrupted something. of course you can't see the parking lot from the road so I felt awful awkward when I saw all of them and had to turn around and drive out

My dog and I love this trail year round!! The trail at times can be overgrown, but we usually don't mind. Ridley loves to swim just watch out for ticks and snakes.

Absolutely loved this walk and was able to change difficulties along the trail (switching from easy trails to more difficult ones) Great place to collect thought!!

First hit these trails while geocaching (there are several caches hidden throughout the park—but I've already said too much); I enjoyed the search, climbing up and along a few off-trail hills along the way to make my finds. The area was great for the purpose of this hobby, but I don't know that the hike itself was all that enjoyable. The paths were covered in webs despite heavy foot traffic, and long stretches have been torn up by bikes, making crossing a treacherous task.

If you dont have much time these are great trails for running or hiking. They are not scenic, but if you just need a green fix, they are fine. Dogs are allowed and we usually get about 7 miles out of a trek here. Depending on your direction, you can get some pretty good cardio! Worth the trip if you are short on time.

Good for a quicky mountain biking ride but not so good for hiking...no views, some traffic noise, and narrow/roots.

The park has a great system of single-track trails. There are plenty of roots and rocks to navigate. Lots of hills to run, all set against a lake. Only downside is that you can hear highway traffic occasionally. 4 stars.

Great trail because of the numerous loops it offers catering to all skill levels. Trails are very well maintained, marked and the difficulty is intuitive from the name (wimp's pass, expert lake loop...) Overall, close, versatile, but not too scenic.

The beginning of this trail has tons of roots sticking out of the ground, but once you cross the bridge and hit the big hills, it's a really fun trail. It's also only about 10 minutes away from UT's campus, so it's great if you're limited on time.
