Foster Falls Overlook Trail is a 0.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Sequatchie, Tennessee that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Fun trail. I think the actual first part or the loop after the waterfall was blocked off for revegetation but climbing the rocks up was fun also. Could’ve been the trail but my gps wasn’t on the trail for he first half so I’m not to sure but I’d still recommend the trail
Absolutely gorgeous. Must return when we have time to do the whole loop!
We got there and the sun had set, so we only had time to walk to the top off the falls and back. But, really wanting to plan a hiking adventure in the Fiery Gizzard Trail!! Looking forward to more adventures at this beautiful gift on Earth!
One of my favorites around here. Not bad of a hike and definitely worth it!
I noticed that this trail is only to the overlook and that’s why the 13ft or so of elevation gain is showed. If you continue past the overlook and down to the swinging bridge and falls then your looking at 200ft at least if the recordings are correct. It’s a steep rocky decent but so worth it. It’s another 0.3-0.4 miles to the falls. The walk to the overlook is easy and mostly flat. It’s a boardwalk and then a sandy substrate and then another boardwalk and platform. I’ll post pictures of the trail.
