There is a trail to the base of the falls, It’s about 1 mile in and out, rocky, scramble for 50%, slightly muddy but rocks were not slippery with hiking boots. Suspension bridge at the end. Plan on swimming in the pool!

A very quick hike to an awesome waterfall and nice swimming hole. The water was a bit cold but made for a very refreshing swim. One of the best waterfalls/swimming holes in TN. Also would check out Greeter Falls while in the area, another cool one

This was one of my fav hikes to date. Not too easy trail, but easy to follow. Multiple places to take a dip in water and it was REFRESHING!

The hike to the falls is fun but be prepared with good shoes as there are a lot of BIG rocks! What a great place to explore. So much beauty! Will be back.

Why go to the falls overlook and not go to the base? It is very picturesque if you can beat the people there

We took the counterclockwise route attempting to loop into the climbers loop through the climbers access. We asked two timber rattlers for directions but ended up having to backtrack to the short route to the falls.

This trail is fine, but it’s not the one that goes to the base of the falls nor is it the loop. Those are both excellent trails - but this, this is just a short little walk to the overlook.

amazing place would also be here all the time if i lived in tennessee!! it’s pretty steep on the way down with a lot of rocks and pretty tiring on the way back up. but it’s definitely worth going to.

a lot of fun, lots of challenging trails and easy ones as well. pretty busy at waterfalls and easier trails but once you get to the more advance ones it’s rare you see other people.

4/24: Trailhead is back open, but only during the day. The gates lock at 6:00 PM. Doesn't hurt to bring a jacket if you plan to be down there for a few minutes taking photos. When the falls are roaring the overspray can get pretty chilly.

Stunning falls. Steep hike down a slippery and rocky slope. Definitely on the strenuous side coming up. Plenty of places to rest if you’re slow going uphill. Worth it.

Someone in the reviews said this isn’t a loop. It is, follow the white trail markers and when it said rock climbers access you will follow that trail and continue down to the water fall. When you get to the bottom you will go across the suspension bridge back up to the parking lot. Great hike, but keep in mind it’s super rocky!!!
