I wouldn't call this trail EASY, steep climb up boulders that are stair-like, but challenging for little people (5yo) It was such a blast tho, he felt like a little adventure braving the wild. the actual Fort look out has beautiful views. Pretty decent. We'd definitely do it again.

This trail is part of Pinkerton Park and takes you to the top of a overlook hill facing picturesque downtown Franklin. Hike is short and heavy pedestrian traffic since they cleared the trail even more the past year. Fun, small hike for families and kids as the overlook includes Civil War facts about Fort Granger.
There is a paved walking trail around the Park and the Fort Granger trail starts at the back of the park. Look for the well beaten dirt path that crosses the creek.
