New trail on dunes, through maritime forest and marsh. This is a beautiful trail with mix of hikers and mountain bikers. Travel is single track and bi-directional. There are elevation changes on the beach side with great views of dunes, beaches, and ocean. The sound side offers a canopied trail with numerous boardwalks and nature sitings.

Good trail, had some really nice scenery and would be a good running trail. It does get pretty buggy in the marshy areas so bring some deet.

This trail is well maintained and has some really pretty views. Plenty of shaded areas as well as sunny areas where you get a good view of the ocean. We brought our five daughters with us and
they had no problems doing this trail.

Beautiful meandering trail through the thick maritime forest, marsh and dunes. Easy hike with diverse terrain and lots of sweeping views. At the midway point, hop over to the public swim area for a beach front lunch break. Easily completed in 1.25 to 1.50 hrs.

Great well maintained trail loop. Also one of the most beautiful in terms on scenery as well. Trail is packed gravel and very wide, has some great elevation along it too. It’s about 3.3 miles in length and perfect for a decent trail run or hike with family. I’m a trail runner so the one complaint would be is it’s not longer but can always run the road or run trail twice if you like long distance and want to add to it. I definitely recommend

This is a beautiful trail. It's very easy to walk and has plenty of beautiful views. Half of the trail is heavily wooded and cuts through some salt marshes. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BUG SPRAY!! You can practically see the mosquitoes flying around. The other half of the trail has some pretty decent dunes so be prepared for some moderate climbing. It's an excellent trail to walk the dog. At the end I recommend taking the fisherman's path toward the beach; it makes for a nice end to a beautiful trail. I'll definitely be back!

Nice walking trail that shows a variety of environments from maritime forests to open dunes with ocean views. Right next to the fort so you can explore some history too. Good for walking dogs and have seen many joggers on the trail.

Great trail that varies from open dunes to maritime forest. Nice beach and marsh views. A little hilly in dunes, but generally pretty easy. Bugs can be bad in the summer and dunes can be windy. Cool historical fort to visit too.
