Fantastic view at the end. Trail is around 5.2 miles instead of the 4 listed here. Be prepared for some rocky steep terrain, definitely not for small children.

The lookout definitely makes the hike worth it however the trail is a little hard to follow and I got lost a few times. Would not recommend this hike for beginners or children as it has a lot of uphill climbing and non paved hiking over rocks. I did burn 1,000 calories though so my dog and I will definitely be back!

totally worth it, just stay away from the ledge, that first step is a doozy.

Up and down. A little difficult to follow but once you get to the lookout point, it is beautiful and you can basically see all of Chattanooga!

Nice hike. Parking was scarce, it was very busy (holiday weekend). Past the creek, the trail is rocky and narrow. Not much room to pass. There is a campsite along the trail at a rock shelter. Pretty nice, but not private as it’s directly on the trail. Some sections are steep and rocky, but not too much for an average hiker. We use poles and felt they help a lot with this type of terrain. Saw a timber rattler on the trail. It was kind enough to alert us of its presence so we could carefully maneuver around it. Super views at the top!

This trail is gorgeous! It’s definitely a great workout but it doesn’t overdo it and make you want to give up. The markers make it easy to follow the trail too!

Beautiful trail. Overgrown a little but that doesn’t bother me. Took my dog and she did fine.

Awesome trail really close to Chattanooga! There were lots of families going down to the lake, but the trail cleared up once we crossed the river and started going uphill again. It's a beautiful view at the top! Not too challenging, but you definitely have to watch your footing a bit with the rocks.

Really nice trail. Very heavy traffic. There is a second overlook about 100 yds away from the main overlook. It is open for off-road vehicles and is pretty trashed. The trail is a pretty difficult “moderate”, granted I am out of shape, but it has a pretty significant elevation change.

HikingGreat!

This was our first time visiting this area for hiking and we were pleasantly surprised! We initially went to park at Signal Point, but it was closed, so luckily we snagged an afternoon parking spot at the Rainbow Lake parking lot. The trail was well kept, not a lot of debris, and pretty decently marked. It was easy/moderate for us and a whole lot of fun! Beautiful rock formations and a great workout. The falls water was pretty diminished due to lack of rain, but it was still beautiful! Will definitely be back!

Absolutely LOVE and recommend this hike. Started at the rainbow lake parking lot. Loved loved loved the swinging bridge and the elevated hike with the rock stars. Pups made it with us and the views. Stunning! Once you think you reached the top... keep going. Multiple lookouts after! Totally recommend. Def a moderate trail!

Enjoyable hike and worth the effort if looking for a moderately challenging hike in the Chattanooga area. The only disappointment is the first 1/2 mile or so as the trail is gravel and very rough on the feet. Once you get to the suspension bridge the track is more what you expect. Lots of rocks for the kids to climb on.

Great trail with clear markings. I consider this a difficult trail but worth the effort. Lots of climbing of unsteady rocks. Can be steep in some sections the views are amazing, looking over the river. The park located at the entrance of trail has bathrooms and plenty of parking.

Spectacular views at the point!! Pretty rocky with debris in spots. Lots of ups and downs. Would not suggest the hike with temps between 85-90.
