First good hike since recovering from a sprain. The views were well worth it. It was beautiful. Parts aren’t marked so well halfway in, but we managed.

The view a couple miles in is awesome but after that it’s a pretty boring hike and the trail is not marked very well.

Beautiful hike that you can reach from multiple starting points! Rainbow lake entrance or signal point. Signal point is much steeper... rainbow lake side is an easier options for kids etc.

This was my first hiking trail outing in Chattanooga. This was a great starting trail, because of its moderate difficulty. It was just long enough (6ish miles) and never got too strenuous. There are definitely some places where hand and foot are required, but nothing too crazy. Rainbow lake is about halfway through, which was a refreshing break, and provided a perfect place for a picnic. We will definitely return to do Mushroom rock, which is continued after Edwards Point ends.

Great trail, but parking can be rough. The hike was pretty moderate with a few tough hills, but nothing too hard. The trail ended up taking a little over 4 miles to the point round trip. Incredible view from the top though!
