Dry Pond Lead Trail is part (12a) of the Benton MacKaye Trail (www.bmta.org). It is a strenuous climb from the Ocoee River to a high ridge line bordering the Little Frog Wilderness. Note that this is not a loop trail - the BMT continues on for 14 miles north to the Hiawassee River.
