Dry Pond Lead Trail is a 8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Copperhill, Tennessee that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding.
Dry Pond Lead Trail is part (12a) of the Benton MacKaye Trail (www.bmta.org). It is a strenuous climb from the Ocoee River to a high ridge line bordering the Little Frog Wilderness. Note that this is not a loop trail - the BMT continues on for 14 miles north to the Hiawassee River.
