Lovely hike! Very easy for the most part. We kept going up to Emory Gap Falls, about a mile past this hike. Both were beautiful. We waded in the water too, surprisingly not very cold for November.

Third trip back this year. Great quick trail if you don’t have a lot of time. Mosquitoes were bad, but bug spray helps. Our dogs loved it. Got a nice shot of the falls.

Super easy trail! Beautiful state park, one of my favs! In the summer the falls is low on water, but it’s still worth seeing

This is a nice shady trail. Very easy and well traveled. Debord falls is rainfall dependent, so if it’s been dry expect little more than a trickle.

Nice trail but very hot humid day. All uphill going to it, a little muddy that day. Easy going down.

The trail from the parking lot is a bit washed out and muddy, so wear good shoes. Yesterday it was very humid, so there were lots of bugs. Still a good trail for dogs, and taking a break by the falls was nice. Will do it again!

Great trail and beautiful falls with lots of room to explore around! We wanted to add miles, so we did the entire Panther Creek trail (off to the right after Debord and well marked). Panther Creek is an absolutely amazing and magical hike and mostly uphill with many small falls along the way! Don’t stop at the fence, but take the trail on up to the top at the Old Mac trail junction. Debord Falls is actually a part of the Panther Creek trail. We then went on up .5 to Emory Gap Falls. The total, we think, was well over 6 miles out and back. Beautiful and moderate hike!

Went there for a Mother’s Day hike with the family. We really enjoyed it. Fairly easy hike to the falls. Enjoyed the creek and scenery along the way. My grandson loves playing around the water at the falls. It got a bit crowded at the falls area. There were quite a few people along the trail. The trail path isn’t very wide but people tried to be respectful and keep with the social distancing. There isn’t a lot of parking and we had to park near the campground and walk on the road up to where the trail begins. But all in all we enjoyed it and we will definitely go back.

Park at the Panther Branch Trailhead. From there it is easy to find the trail. You will parallel a stream until you arrive at Debord Falls. The trail to this point is relatively flat and easy. After a very wet spring, parts of the trail were muddy and there were tiny side streams with run-offs onto the trail. There were still many spring flowers, even though the early bloomers have passed. Stick to the trail as poison ivy is abundant all along the route. If you continue past the falls, you will eventually arrive at Emory Gap Falls. This potion of the trail is significantly more challenging.

Trailhead in Frozen Head State Park (Wartburg, TN) at end of paved road. Very easy hike, with some rocks. Falls are 12-feet tall with wading area for kids. Ample falling water through early summer, than mostly dependent on rains. Generally a quite, peaceful hike.

Great, easy trail and beautiful park. The fall is almost completely dried up as of Oct 19th 2019. Would like to come back after we’ve had more rain.

This is a very pretty, very easy trail. The first waterfall is probably less than half a mile from parking area; continue on up trail to view second falls. Trail has become a bit too crowded to consider it a "peaceful getaway" , ESPECIALLY on the weekends. Unfortunately, over the past couple of years, this trail has been over run with unleashed dogs, screaming kids, and litter bugs.
