A section was closed off probably due to flooding. It's a very easy walk and there are raptor rehabilitation cages. It would be a good nature walk for a family.

This is a hometown trail for me and my family. We enjoy going 2-3 times a year.

One of my favorite places to take my kids. It’s beautiful and you can see all of their birds in aviaries that are being rehabilitated. It’s a nice distance and we usually picnic while we’re there. Some areas get closed because of flooding, but they’re usually quick to repair them and reopen that area.

Boardwalk was a little slippery because of heavy rain the past few days. Killdeer Trail also closed. The birds in rehabilitation are awesome.

Great for any age, skill and condition. Time of year will depend on wildlife to be seen. Be careful as boardwalk can be very slippery. My young ones love seeing the birds even though they are being rehabilitated in their sanctuary.

Very peaceful, short walking trail. The part of the trail that is not boardwalk was closed, but other than that, I enjoyed my time. The owls and birds of prey are very well-taken care of and nice to look at. The trail goes across a lake, which is serenely beautiful. This is a very family-friendly excursion, and I recommend it.

Really nice and peaceful boardwalk stroll. The raptor bird area was pretty cool. We will definitely be back again.

So peaceful. Good for all skill levels. Quite a bit of shade. The boardwalk and animals make it even better.

The path is entirely on a wooden platform. There are enclosed displays of eagles and horned owls along the way. One covered picnic area, restrooms, and a water fountain.

Loved seeing the owls and hawks. The boardwalk over the water is really peaceful and I loved the views over it from the look-out building.
