Take my advice and park at leggit rd trail head. The hike Is straight up hill and boring until you get to the overlooks. Just park at leggit rd and save yourself the boring walk.

Typically I love this trail! It is one of my favorites in the Chattanooga area. Unfortunately, I think it was hit by a storm recently and there is a lot of scrambling over trees right now. It is also very over grown and there is plenty of poison oak...so be careful if you are sensitive to it. Lastly, bug spray is HIGHLY suggested.

Shady trail from rock creek to overlook. Narrow in some places with 2-3ft high poison ivy bordering trail. Blowdowns easy to go around. 2 nice swimming holes within a mile of parking. Including access trail to loop trail and spur trail to overlook our total distance was 7.2 miles

Great trail. It was very well marked. I went to the right at the loop for a harder hike. It is rocky in places.

Hiking in a fog bank removed the views but descending into Rocky Creek at high water was exhilarating. White tail deer sighted.

This was a good moderate trail with portions that had some nice upward climbs. The trail was well marked and seemed well kept. Trailhead access was a nice parking lot just off a paved road. I didn't see another person the entire hike. Took about 2.5 hours. Definitely make time to stop and look at the beautiful view at the overhang.

Nice walk in the woods made better by taking the Leggett Point Overlook spur. Very impressive trail construction with dozens of native stone steps set in place. Violets were beginning to peek through the leaf fall. I hiked counterclockwise so elevation gain was at first half of hike. Nice day.

I would rate it a little more strenuous than moderate. Clockwise on the loop gives you a strenuous uphill before the overlook. Counterclockwise is a gentler ascent but still has some tough, though brief, climbs. Awesome overlook. Be sure to take the spur to see it.

Enjoyed the hike, very easy to follow and nice view at overlook. Did this as a warm up for the long hike the next day. This is a short but challenging hike will do again if in the area.

This is a fun hike! We turned right at the first sign with all the distances. We turned right at the loop. Turning right was more dynamic ups, left would have been a steady, gentle incline. Please do not miss the .2 mile spur to the overlook. It is fantastic! We walked across the creek to the Rock Creek overlook which added a little to the hike. We went to the bridge and then turned around because we weren't sure if there was another overlook. It wasn't marked. The trail is well maintained and marked. Blue and white blazes. The spur trail is yellow. Trail head and parking are easy.

well-marked and narrow at times, this trail takes you by waterfalls, and the side trail takes you to a wonderful overlook.

Super pretty trail! Very quite and peaceful. It’s pretty narrow in spots but that makes it more exciting I think!!

This is a very beautiful hike. The colors are just starting to change in the trees. Very nice. Not a lot of other people along the trail very solitude, serene calm and gorgeous views from legget overlook.

We enjoyed this trail. Saw two tiny snakes along the trail. They scurried on past us with no issue. Love the views of the creek along the way. Some elevation gain but wasn’t too difficult. Was a pretty nice hike other than the bugs and the fact that’s it’s August. Will visit again in the fall to explore more.
