Great trail. Really nothing strenuous. We turned around at the 2.25 mile mark. It was a really snowy day and didn’t expect to enjoy the hike as much as we did, but we weren’t prepared with food, only water. Beautiful views about 15-20 minutes in right as you approach the “Caution Burned Forest” signage. Absolutely beautiful view after a dusting of snow!
Not bad, not great...a lot of hiking directly behind houses and cabins of Chalet Village and eventually Ober Gatlinburg. The better parts of this one were in the first 1/4 mile. Still better than sitting in the house though.
The trail was well marked and traveled. 2,000 foot climb to reach trail from cabin.
