This trail is a short and easy 1 mile loop. The Parking lot is small but for the amount of foot traffic this trail sees it is adequate. The trail head has the typical signage with some historical information and is some good reading.

Passing by the sign you begin the hike and are soon left to go either clockwise or counter clockwise around the loop.
Markers are placed marking the way however due to the terrain, foliage the trail markers really shouldn't be required here.

A recent controlled burn left the area looking charred also smelling so. This certainly will make this trail more interesting to wildlife and help with weed control. It will be fun to see tte new growth this spring.

The trail terrain is loose stones in quite a few places so trail runners may have to use a bit of caution in places to prevent ankle damage, however here again not too much of a issue for hikers.

Understanding this loop does not sport any fabulous landmarks or breathtaking scenery while some may find it not attractive at all. If you consider this trek for what it was intended, to act as a natural habitat area., then you will enjoy the plant and wildlife.
