This was an excellent trail. There didn’t seem to be any lack of maintenance and things were pretty nice. One of the overlooks is closed but the main one is open and gives you a spectacular view of Burgess Falls. You can hike down to the top of the falls. It’s pretty safe and is a neat experience. Definitely fun. One thing is that people need to pack out their trash. It was a little annoying to see so much in such an awesome place. Tip: go early. We got there shortly after opening and were alone for the most part. When we got back to the car, there were so many more people. Also heard that the weekends can be pretty jammed up.

Very pretty hike not to hard. We went Sunday morning and it was quite busy. It’s shaded most of the hike.

Trail was amazing, we completed it all with an eight and four year old. The installed steps on inclines really help! If you have mobility issues this may prove challenging. Can't wait to come back!

Super easy, really beautiful. No idea why they say steep, it was incredibly easy and all stairs for hard parts.

Short trail to a great overlook and to the top of the falls. Can’t go to the base of the falls anymore though, due to the state not wanting to replace the metal staircase that washed out. A person can kayak to the base of the falls from cane hollow road though.

Crowded today, but got there a little later than planned (around noon). We've done this hike a few times. Short but with a decent elevation climb at points, you'll get your heart rate up without exertion.

I would recommend this trail for anyone wanting a nice relaxing hike with a little extra cardio if you take the stairs to the top of Burgess Falls. Nice gravel path to the overlook if you can't handle the uneven ground or roots on the path. Family friendly, pet friendly, clean restrooms, playground for the kids, and lots of parking. Beautiful forested views, waterfalls, and overlooks of the gorge.

some parts were closed off to get to the very bottom when we went, but the trail was wonderful for kids (6 & 4)

Nice trail for a stroll. A little too crowded given my desire to socially distant but everyone pretty collegial and respectful of personal space. The falls themselves were fabulous! Want to find out how to get my kayak to the bottom of the biggest falls.

Very simple yet beautiful hike! Keep in mind that you can not reach the bottom of the waterfall, unless you have a kayak. Great hike even for your four-legged friends!

Beautiful Waterfall! There are several signs stating that the hike is strenuous, but we didn't find it too difficult. Just a lot of steps. Definitely take the trail that leads down to the top of the waterfall for an awesome view of the gorge.

Fairly easy hike. My 11 year old and I made a quick trip after completing Window Cliffs trail nearby. Great views a little more crowded midweek than I prefer (but honestly not crowded at all). Walked down to the top of the falls and it was beautiful.

Went here a few weeks back. This place is absolutely amazing. By far one of my favorite places. However the ranger at the gates was a giant a$$ hole but we finally got in.

Very easy hike with incredible views. Starts with a small set of falls, then mid way through you come to a medium set. it finally ends with an over look of Burgess Falls. You can walk down to the top of the falls and take some really cool pictures.

Was pretty but couldn’t get in the water. Easy trail and pretty overlook. Wading in shallow areas isn’t even allowed.

This was a great trail to do. Super easy walk in and walk out. Kind of a bummer that you cannot get to the bottom of the Falls and hopefully they restore that one day. Still beautiful hiking area

My husband and myself took a good walk down the trail to the falls we were the first there around 8am in the cool morning air was nice it’s well worth you time to go early before the crowds to go at a slower pace to enjoy the quiet and scenery the trails have some steep spots but doable if you take your time. He’s 62 and in fair health and he would do this again when scheduling allows. Take a walk and enjoy the falls. It’s kid friendly for older kids but smaller kids will have to be carried some spots are kind of dangerous with small children and maybe even for dogs. There are rails most of the way but a couple of spots could definitely use them due to the incline and narrowness. Overall very happy we did this one!
