My first TN waterfall hike and the destination didn’t disappoint! Very short hike, but there were plenty of “ankle breakers” with all of the exposed roots and washed out rock so just be careful and take your time. We went in about 11:00 and there were only two other families. However, once 1:00 rolled around, you could easily say that social distancing was a challenge or even nonexistent due to 40+ people having arrived. Water was cool and was VERY refreshing! Had a blast and would strongly recommend it.

Loved both of these trails! Blue Hole was a short and easy. The lower falls area of Greeter Falls was more of a swimming hole around mid day. The upper falls area was peaceful and made for an enjoyable lunch spot. Love this area!

Great quick little trail. You can go right for a 1 total mile hike to blue hole then you can come back and go left to greeter falls. It is muddy and rocky so wear proper shoes. I’d recommend wearing or bringing water shoes and swim attire for a swim at the falls. Bring food and water. My 4 year old loves hiking here and does well. Would be great for beginner hikers. Just be cautious of sippers rocks.

Overall a good trail and worth the drive. Best advice, start your day early because it is a highly tracked area for the swimming at the falls.

Gorgeous trail that’s very well trafficked. Would recommend bringing some swimming attire as the blue hole and falls are both very tempting! There’s a spiral staircase down to greeter falls and some nice views along the way, would definitely recommend!

Greeter Falls, 5 stars. So beautiful. Can get pretty intense. We went the day after a SPRINKLE and I can’t imagine some of the spots after a good rain. So be careful. Some slick, climbs. Slippery rocks. But worth it. Blue Hole, not as exciting, but 4 stars for an easy hike and place to rest at the end of you need.

Greeter Falls and Boardtree Falls were beautiful. Blue Hole was ok. The hike wasn’t too hard or too crowded!

Pretty short hike to blue hole. Worth doing. I have it a 4 star only because the end of blue hole was overgrown and flooded so I couldn't really see anything. Greeter falls is a 5 star.

I hiked this trail on Christmas Eve and only saw one other group on the trail. Greeter Falls was absolutely stunning after heavy rains. The trail was muddy and partially covered in shallow flowing water in some places, but definitely manageable. Boardtree Falls was nice as well, and definitely worth the short journey down to the bottom of the falls. Blue Hole felt kind of underwhelming to me, but maybe when the sun is out and the water isn't flowing as heavily in the summer, it'd be a better place to swim. Overall, the hike was definitely worth the trip, and pretty easy too. The other group I saw was a dad and two small kids, and the kids were managing just fine.

The hike to Blue Hole is pretty easy with only gradual elevation changes until you get out to the water, where there is a bit of scrambling. Greeter Falls is a bit more difficult with steeper terrain but lovely views!!!

I loved this trail but glad I decided not to bring my dog lots of rock to go over she would have pulled me down them.

From the parking area you can access Blue Hole in a distance of .5 mile and it’s very relaxing and a great place to cool down under the shade of some beautiful trees. It’s a bit muddy in spots but a beautiful sight nonetheless. A great way to end the hike!
