There is no water going off the falls due to very little rain. Would be beautiful right after a rain storm but would be difficult to get to because of the steep grade.

Great hike that unfortunately lead to a very weak waterfall. Can get pretty steep.

If you are looking for a water fall, now is NOT the time to go. Today (7/11/20) the waterfall is at a trickle.

Really good hike but giving it 3 stars because the ‘falls’ are currently at a trickle. Fairly steep on the way out but manageable. Probably well worth your time when the water is really flowing.

Pretty trail. Took us 2.25 hr with whole family and small child. Some poison ivy low to the ground in tight sections of the trail. Be careful if wearing shorts.

Great hike! Moderate is an accurate rating. Going to the waterfall is steep but then coming back in a breeze. Definitely worth the hike!

Loved it! Carried my almost 3 year old most the way up and back, that made it a butt kicker! Would be a nice little stroll carrying less weight :)

Nice easy walk under the trees with nice waterfalls. Crossings are a little hard with kids. Didn’t get to the end because kids were tired.

Well maintained - moderate difficulty due to elevation gain in the last 1/3, but with enough points of interest along the trail that our non-hiking kids enjoyed it as well. They enjoyed the wildflowers in bloom, butterflies, and smaller creek crossings/falls leading up to the big falls. The big falls did not disappoint due to all the rain recently! Beautiful, and not too many people on the trail for a pretty Sunday.

The trail was well marked and maintained. Cool water fall. There was some people down at the falls so we hiked on for a while then came back and had the falls to our selves.

Great hike. Cross some streams. We felt the trail was maintained and marked very well. Last 1/3 of the hike is pretty much straight up hill. The falls are wonderful after a day or two of rain. Would definitely recommend!

Loved it! Definitely coming back!! The last half mile before the main falls is nearly straight up the mountain, a stark contrast to the first 1/3 mile that is so easy and had 2 nice waterfalls after the recent rains. Multiple creek crossings, so wear appropriate shoes!

Awesome trail on a cold day. Great water features on the way up, quite a steep ascent to the falls themselves, but the payoff is worth it. GPS to the trailhead takes you a bit shy of the actual trailhead. There is a parking lot marked for Pot Point.

Good hike with a beautiful drive in along Tennessee river. A bit overgrown but the trail isnt hard to follow. Steep in some areas. LOTS of spiderwebs covering the trail. Plenty of shade. Hike into falls is majority uphill. The falls were dry which was a big disappointment to our kids.

Overall, a great hike with uphill climbs. The path was clearly defined although fallen trees presented an obstacle and the path was very rocky at times. Still this is very doable for able-bodied hikers who don't mind getting sweaty. It was shaded the whole way. If you're the first one on the trail in the morning like me, bring a stick to clear spiderwebs, as they were terrible. A couple short sections of the trail were a little narrow due to encroaching greenery, so watch what you touch. The waterfall is dry right now, so don't go expecting to see it. All in all, it was a peaceful hike with great exercise this morning!

Very nice hike, well shaded. Waterfall was not very active but the trail is well maintained and very easy to follow. Parking area well maintained as well.

I quickly added this trail to my short list of favorites around Chattanooga. It's just the right length, and moderate is a perfect description. there are many beautiful features along the way - many rock formations and at least two smaller, but still impressive, falls before you reach the big guy. Most of the trail is easy but there are many short parts with rocks to jump. The section right before the biggest falls is quite a steep incline, but keep going - it's worth it! The falls settle into a nice, quiet bowl where you can relax before the downhill stutters. I went on a Tuesday and saw one other small group. I spent over an hour at the falls relaxing. Its also good to note that the drive to this one gives you some interesting views of the river gorge. Absolutely worth the short drive from Chattanooga. Great parking, well-maintained trail (though spider webs are a trade-off here for the benefit of relative seclusion), and beautiful greenery (I just missed flowers but saw the buds all over the ground).

Very nice trail which was well marked with paint on trees, and had parking. I would rate as moderate rather than easy last half mile was on a pretty good incline.
