A nice relatively easy walk with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains to the south. The trail has lots of wild black raspberries alongside it, not that I recommend eating wild berries, and in fact the undergrowth is so thick on the back trail it becomes very narrow so I definitely recommend long pants. It's so lightly traveled that a tree fell across it on the back loop and it looked like it had been sitting a while. The view from the northern overlook requires a small amount of rock climbing and is mostly obscured by mature trees. The caves are small incroppings under the 3 story tall boulders found down the stairway where the main trail splits off the loop on the western end. The rock formations are beautiful. In all it was a simply walk of just over two miles. I can see why the northern half of the loop is so lightly traveled.
