All of the reviews were very helpful. The entire trail is easy until you get to the falls. When you turn left at the falls sign, the last 100 yards is descending down stairs and a slippery root filled trail. This was an excellent first hike in Tennessee.

Great little hike with a beautiful waterfall as payoff. There are a few really muddy spots on the trail so make sure you have the correct shoes.

This is a beautiful hike to a waterfall.

Very nice falls. The hike is short but there are plenty of other trails to hit while you’re there. We did a nice 7.2 mile loop. Go early to avoid the crowd.

This is a hidden gem - magnificent waterfall and a pristine crystal clear mountain top lake with a sand bottom beach

Beautiful waterfall. $3 fee per car for parking. It’s 1.5 mi out to the waterfall, and then 1.5 mi back. There are multiple other trails if you want to continue exploring. Most of the trail is sand, but there are some muddy parts and a large stone staircase at the end, so tread carefully. Great day hike! Also, make sure to stop off at the scenic overlooks up and down Oswald Rd on your way in/out of the park.

Beautiful falls well worth the easy hike in. Little work hiking back out (steps up from Falls) but was easy enough for someone with little physical ability to do. Can’t mtn bike the steps down into the Falls area but can bike 99% of the rest of the trail. I too packed out some trash. Too much litter. Highly recommended because of the Falls.

Nice falls and easy trail. I was there early so the traffic was all but none. Days of rain made the falls something to see but the trail also had a lot of water because of it.

Easy hike, too many people for my taste. The falls are interesting almost look man made. nice looks to swim in at the bottom. My dog loved it.

Pretty nice little trail. Nothing too spectacular. Most of it is sandy. A good place for families but not a ton of room near the falls. I'd go on a weekday if you can. Lots of trash.... please don't litter!!! And pack out trash you might find. I brought out a couple of water bottles.

Easy trail, stairs can be a little tricky but my 8 and 10 year old made it down with a little help. Kids loved the waterfall!

A fun little hike and beautiful waterfall. Be careful walking down the steps lol because I wasn’t. Can be crowded at times.

There are several ways to get to the falls. One could choose a more challenging route and hike up the mountain. There are not many inspiring views, but the hike is pleasant. If you choose to drive up Chilhowee Mountain you will find breath-taking views of the Ocoee and the surrounding mountains. There are terrific logging roads along the way to hike and hunt small game. The trail to the falls is short and very easy. The falls are wonderful. There are stairs down or one could choose to climb either side of the falls up or down. The creek at the bottom is a nice place to chill, dip your feet, and have a snack. Very kid and animal friendly.

Our first hike of 2018 and it didn’t disappoint. It was raining and 50 so we didn’t see many people. The trails where well marked, the trail width was good and the falls were beautiful. The area would be great for camping and hiking all the trails.

Easy trail to above the falls. Many nicely laid out rock steps down to the bottom. There are hand rails most of the way down. Be careful there are wet spots.

Great trail. The fall was beautiful. Very busy trail with many people and dogs. However I wish it was a little better marked.

Great hike for the whole family. Very easy until the last part before falls where it can be steep in places. We hike this trail often with kids and the falls never disappoints.

Quick trail with one of the most beautiful waterfalls at the end. Very easy until the waterfall. Can choose to just view from top or take the steep steps down. Well worth the hour round trip for non experienced hikers.

Easy hike was a little scare of the bear warning. But it was worth it. 3 miles total to the falls and back.

A great trail for getting into nature. The falls are beautiful, and at the bottom of a cliff, but the natural stairs back up the cliff can be hard on the knees - be advised ;) Enjoy!

Benton Falls is well worth the trip. The trail is fairly well marked, and not as far in as you would think.

Great, easy trail. Me and the pup went this afternoon after we had a long rainy day on Saturday. The trail was pretty clear and not many people. Aside from the slick rocks on the way down to see the fall, this trail was very easy to do as a beginner, and the trees were marked every so often with blue markers to help you stay on track. The fall itself was beautiful and so worth the walk, I would have honestly been okay with going further to see this amazing thing flow. It’s a little difficult after a rainy day to get over to the other side where you can sit on larger rocks to relax, or take pictures without interference, but that’s just a heads up for first timers. Overall, this is something well worth the time it takes to get there! Definitely a place you will want to come back to more than once!
