Why the app says 7 mil ???????

Shaded trail, nice water views and overlooks. Tons of wildlife, deer, squirrel, snakes (good kind) and fish on the banks. I really enjoyed this hike. There was some recent storm damage with fallen trees on the trail but no show stopping events. New dry bridge being built through the wettest area. Very nice!

One of my favorites! Generally flat with some roots/rocks but to where you can actually look up and enjoy the run. Great Lake views, shaded trail along water, lots and lots of deer, birds, squirrels. Few hills to get your heart rate up but still easy.

it is a nice trail around the lake. part of the trail, must be flooded. it dead ends, in the lake, instead of making a loop. it was a little tough. for a 50 year old man, on a mountain bike. lots of up hill going in.

Great trail for all skill levels- nice and easy going. Easy to moderate elevation changes. Trail is 4.5 miles. Can be a little muddy in some spots. Full trail review with more pics coming to our blog soon!

Great trip, some of the trail was flooded due to rain earlier in the morning, but overall it was fun.

Pretty good loop. We hiked on 11/20/17. Views of the Tennessee River were spectacular. Tons of wildlife scampering about.

Easy, moderate length loop. Nice views of the water and even a couple of "beachy" areas just off trail.

Easy loop through the woods and around the waterfront. Small inclines and soft trail.

A little muddy--wouldn't make the trek in tennis shoes. Flat. Nice views.

Great easy trail. The loop is only 4.5 miles. It was very muddy in spots. Nice views of the water. No restroom or water at the trailhead. A few distance markers. Will probably run this one again when were are in the area.

The trails and views were great. We saw about 4 deer. i just wish if they are going to measure the distance it would be posted better and more accurate and maybe a map at the beginning of the trail so you know which ways to go. But overall a great hike or bike ride.

This is a lot of fun for kids but the trail is pretty short and simple.

Great trail if you you just want an easy long walk. Not a good trail to be on during or after rain, but the woods of the trail are full of deer that don't get spooked and give you plenty of picture perfect opportunities.

i absolutely loved this trail. It is easy with no real elevation but for me the length of it made up for that. It runs along the bay so the scenery was gorgeous the entire way. I saw 5 deer and various other wildlife. I went left at the fork in the beginning. It did get pretty muddy quickly but soon the trail dried up and there was barely any other mud. I still would suggest waterproof boots as I dont think I would have passed parts in tennis shoes after a goid rain. I hot confused at the end of the trail. My GPS lost signal and I came to a split. Unsure of which way to go, luckily I chose left and found the parking lot in about .1 of a mile.

Nice hike. Hot today but was cool being in the shade most the time.
Taking at least 2 bottles of water per person is ideal. A few benches along the way is nice to relax as the
Cool air came off the lake. There is markers indicating how far you have to go. I suggest driving to the parking lot as after the hike the additional mile walk back is a little less desirable at that point.

Decent trails. Vehicles speed down the main rd so you would be advised to park near each trail rather than hike the asphalt.

I've walked this trail several times, it is an easy hike with nice views. The only downside is that no matter what time of year I have gone it has been incredibly muddy, to the point where there are posts that are almost impassable.

Bay Point Loop is a wide trail. It is fairly level and good for all skill levels. We saw several deer that were not afraid. The lake was very crowded with boaters and jet skiers. We could hear music and loud voices. This trail is great exercise and fairly scenic, but no natural serenity and if you hike to feel a part of nature and have peace, this trail is probably not your first choice.
