I was doing Trail Maintenance from McQueen's Gap to the TN/VA line. We must have removed +50 blowdowns from 5 to 16 inches. Bad winter storms.

My Dad and I (first-time backpackers) found this section on the Alltrails app and did it Fathers Day weekend. Being a former US Marine, it was nothing for me. My Dad a flatlander had a rough time. Not because of the difficulty of the trail, but it was just a bit much for a 70 year old. We did complete the 15 miles without incident and me carrying both our packs. Very beautiful, met Smokey Scout who gave us trail names. Wonderful experience I'll always remember and highly recommend! Thanks Alltrails
