Welch’s Point is worth the trip all on its own. Enjoyed the hike though not all that well marked. After reading reviews on here I drove all the way to the parking area for Welch’s Overlook and hiked back to Ambers Den. Some nice rock formations, spur trails and although it’s a little hard to find Ambers Den is a hidden gem. The loop is an option if you just want the added distance but the extra is on a road.
