Nice quick hike in CSP. The trail was snow covered in most parts but was able to follow it easily using the blue markers.

If you are a hiker, which I'm not, you might like the quick hike on rough ground. This is noted as kid friendly, but I think that it depends on the age. I think 10 and up should be fine. We also used walking sticks to help. I would suggest them. Do not confuse this with the trail that loops around the lake. This trail is located its the end of the RV park across from he lake.

There are two Legion Lake Trails. One that goes around the lake and the more difficult one that climbs up a good ways that is fairly strenuous, see the pic I posted. Both hikes are fun.

This is a short, scenic walk. Nothing to go out of the way to do. We were staying at Legion Lake Lodge, so it was natural to just check it out.

this was listed as easy to moderate, being from Illinois, and getting closer to retirement age this is actually quite strenuous.

Nice short hike. Straight up and then down. Beautiful.

Easy, usually a good hike in early spring before snows are gone from higher elevaions, may encounter bison near the trail.

trail was hard to find in some places since it is not used very much, but was very enjoyable. directly north of the legion lake campground, so parking was not real obvious. A good evening hike. View of Legion lake was blocked by trees that have grown bigger since the trail was developed, still a good hike.
