Okay trail. The trail is in okay shape, no obstacles, but overgrown in places. Used by horses. It is not well marked. Take Centennial Bypass #89B. A quarter mile in the trail splits. Stay right. The left trail marked Iron Mt Tr No 16 takes you down to Iron Creek. At 9/10 mile the current trail breaks left (North) from All Trails track and passes through a saddle and re-joins All Trails track on the other side instead of looping around the hill. The hike is not very scenic. Mostly wooded where 25-75% of the pines have been broken off or knocked down by storms.

Fun and scenic hiking trail. The main trail from the parking lot splits a short ways down and the trail to the right has lots of downed trees and is a little more of a challenge while the trail to the left is a little more scenic with rock formations and clearer for as far as I went. It eventually became a little overgrown with lots of mosquitoes so I turned around. Both are nice trails that I would do again, preferably when it hasn’t rained so much.

Love this trail. Very green with wildflowers with all the rain we’ve had lately. Numerous downed trees the whole way from the snowstorm late May.

Decent trail, started at the Iron Mountain Picnic Area and by the time we hit the end of the trail it was only 1.5 miles so we made our way down Forrest Rd 325 to TH #7 (Grizzly Bear Creek), then switched to the Centennial Trail and looped back to the picnic area. Great day for hiking Iron Mountain!

We made this trail a loop by getting on the Forest service road to Grizzly Creek, and hooked back up to the Centennial trail 89B back to the picnic area. Lots of downfall, but very peaceful and beautiful.
