hiked in clockwise from Gold Run, the last section (south east portion) was least scenic through heavy timber and some roads. many different birds, a few deer. great trail, easy to walk. markings not always obvious. pretty quiet due to boat restrictions on lake (nice). it is longer than the posted 10 miles.

Only hiked about 3 miles out from Gold Run trail head. Good trail needs a little more markings. We will be taking our horses on this soon!!!

Perfect trail for a long run with plenty of pleasant scenery and wildlife along the way. Will definitely do again

A bit longer than 10 miles, trail is nice by the lake side, not marked as well as I would have hoped for the rest.

Just a great hike! Did not expect much at first but the longer we went the better it got. Lots of vegetation changes and views of this beautiful lake. Went past some great primitive camping site one guy out fishing in an inflatable. Lake is stocked with trout limit one. Somehow this turned into about a 14 miler and as mentioned the trail
Markings while generally good get sketchy in places. We lost the trail once and had to follow a fence line to
Regain. Not much elevations but overall fun!

Great for hiking, not for mountain biking due to terrain and inclines and numerous gate crossings. Very pretty view. Occasionally not well marked. Plan on a full day
