This trail is a lightly used trail has a mature Oak forest with well marked trails. This hilly trail has a nice canopy of trees most of the route. This trail is nestled in the hills that are near the Big Sioux River. There is wildlife in the hills, deer, wild turkey, among others. The dirt trail is a 2 wheeled track that goes through some beautiful mature Oak trees.

I like this quiet trail as it is a little longer than some of the others at Great Bear if you begin from the parking lot near the lodge. There's a grassy knoll at the top of the trail. Well marked trails. There are other short connecting trails so that if you get bored you can change up your route. @backpackerneil
