not moderate. 1,000' in 3/4 mile is deceptive as the first 1/3 is relatively flat. Still worth the time.

Steep climb to an overlook. Great Views.

A short challenging walk to a beautiful view into Spearfish Canyon. No problem getting up with Keen sandals. Trail is very easy to follow. Lovely walk with my husband!

One of my favorite trails!

Great hike close to Spearfish Canyon Lodge. Trail is rough and steep. But not a bad hike. If you are not in a hurry. It’s worth getting to the top. View of Spearfish Canyon is amazing

Great hike today despite snow on the the trail. There was light/moderate snow pack which helped although there was still some really icy spots. Great views and time with the wife following the work day!
