My wife and I rode the trail today. We are fairly astute hikers and riders and found several of the serious riders very rude. I am a serious rider on my own bike and know etiquette however these individuals were just rude and going 20-25 mph. All concrete and a great trail for riding and walking. For that reason, not really a hiking trail.

The directions to this trail just take you to an intersection with no parking and no markings as to where the trail is. The parking lot I did find was by permit only for Greenville Tech. Went to next closest park I could find (Cleveland Park/Greenville Zoo). So this review is for the 2.5 mi to the South of the zoo. The river is very pretty and the efforts to restore it are very commendable. That said, this is a very urban trail, all paved. The parts I walked through were many apartments and construction sites. There are a couple of pretty and well kept memorials. A crackhead screaming obscenities at people and cars didn’t add to the experience. Overall, if you’re staying in a downtown hotel, don’t have much time, and don’t want to get your shoes dirty, this is an option, but there have to be a lot better options in the Greenville area.

I longboard. I’m so happy to have found this trail! It’s great and slightly challenging for a board but it’s beautiful

The part of the trail south of Reedy Park is not well marked. There needs to be more signs. The whole trail is well paved. Not too much incline.

This trail was amazing. It runs through a park that has everything, from water fountains to even exercise chairs. It is dog friendly and kids friendly. It also runs through areas that have sports activities such as tennis courts and volleyball. Overall it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend

This is unquestionably a bike trail, no where near a hike. The majority of the paved path is adjacent or eye shot away from the main roads. This is definitely more enjoyable if biked and stopped along the way at the quaint areas, like Traveler’s Rest for food and drink. Overall this path is more about the distance and less about the scenery.

Had a blast on the trail today with my wife, very easy ridding. Many spots are in the open sun so wear sunscreen like we didn’t XD

I love cycling from Kroc Center to TR you can stop at Furman along way and eat lunch in downtown TR. Great for all levels of cyclists however if novice be sure to pay attention and stay to right. Many experienced cyclists use trail and on weekends very busy.

First time today riding on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Started at the trailhead in Traveler's Rest. Something of note is that you cannot park at this trailhead but rather at the Ingles about 1/2 mile away. This will require riding a small segment of White Horse Road as you pull out of the Ingles parking lot to get to Tate where the trail starts, or ends depending on your start point. We rode to the lake at Furman and back. Easy ride, albeit a little crowded at points, through varying scenery including woods, creeks, a lake, and cosy downtown Traveler's Rest - where you can rest on a park bench or at a locally owned restaurant.

Great trail for getting some cardio in! Certainly not a hiking trail by any means but it’s fun to explore. Great for walking, running or riding bikes. Can get really crowded in most stretches but it’s still a great way to get outside.

Nice variety of scenes along this trail. At the Southern tip, the wetland environment is great for birding. On the Northern side, the town of Traveler's Rest is quaint shops and restaurants. The trail is mostly flat and ideal for bike riding. Part of the trail is shared with automobile traffic, but the majority is not.

My family and I bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail frequently and love it. We have started from Downtown Greenville and rode but usually park at Sunrift Adventures in Travelers Rest and ride down to Furman and through the campus before heading back. Great place to ride and kid friendly!
