Stool Mountain Trail [PRIVATE PROPERTY] is a 3.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Pickens, South Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and bird watching and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

NOTE: This trail requires a reservation with Table Rock State Park. The park rangers schedule and guide trips up the mountain. The Stool sits in front of Table Rock and offers beautiful up-close views of the sheer cliffs of Table Rock. The trail is very steep until you reach the saddle, then it's a short uphill to the peak. There are a lot of yellow jackets in the area during the summer.
