This trail is not open for public use. The park rangers schedule and guide trips up the mountain. The Stool sits in front of Table Rock and offers some awesome up-close views of the sheer cliffs of Table Rock. The trail is very steep until you reach the saddle, then it's a short uphill to the peak. From there you scout for a good site to set up. There are a lot of yellow jackets in the area during the summer so be careful.
