Good trail. Well maintained. Trail runs // to the river - but just far enough you can’t enjoy the the river except at certain points. Trail fees were a little high tbh, $24 for 2 adults + 2 kids ( 7 mile hike )

Nice trails and well maintained. Trail map shows the RED trail but there are several other that connect or loop with it. Well worth a day trip or camping experience.

HikingBugsFeeGreat!

Spanish Mount Nature Trail - 5/5. Easy, clean, well maintained, well marked. Beautiful scenery (if you like pretty trees, water views, and marsh views). Dog friendly trail, however be super mindful of ticks! Unusually warm weather today (75 when we started), and I ended up pulling about 20 ticks off my boy. Very quiet and peaceful trail, definitely a place to enjoy and appreciate nature. Note: the AllTrails map takes the blue loop at the beginning, and at the end crosses to the orange then purple loop. The actual trail is shorter if you do a straight in and back path, but this way you get a little loop in the trail.

Awesome trail. Easy to complete with a dog and a baby in a baby carrier. A stroller is possible but I wouldn’t recommend. Easy trail. Interesting mid point historic marker. Apparently there is an old mound where natives gathered around 4000 years ago to eat oysters.

Flat, hard packed sand and dirt. Not much wildlife; based on the sheer number and ferocity I encountered, I believe mosquitos have caused an extinction-level event here. I narrowly avoided exsanguination myself. Whatever you do, KEEP MOVING.

This is a nice easy trail. We walked to the water in two spots and enjoyed the breeze and views. We were the only hikers but passed plenty of bike riders.

A pretty hike, but much more fun on a bike. Do take time to stop at the nature center and have a walkthrough.
