Definitely 3-4 miles if you include the trails around the impoundments which you obviously should because it's the best part. Unfortunately one of the dikes is out make it impassable.
Good loop with nice views of birds and other wildlife
Beautiful forest area that opens up to the marsh, easy loops and wide paths to follow. Saw some great wildlife. Loved it.
Can't stress the importance of bug spray here! Even wearing bug spray I was swarmed the entire time. There is also a dog at the residential part. I have no reason to think its dangerous but FYI. All in all I'm not impressed with this trail.
Fun to hike. Went with a few college buddies and it took two hours to do the full loops at a slower pace. Swampy and a few cool hunting structures on the paths. Very open path, wide enough to walk 4 wide. Entrance is off the ocean side of the main drag, not down the side road, that leads to a small residential dead end.
There are great views on this trail, much wildlife and it has many looping connecting trails. Probably closer to five miles collectively.
