Description
Waypoints (0)

This is shared hking/biking trail. It is easy enough for beginner mountain bikers but, it has some challenges to keep a fast pace for more advanced riders. The full loop is only about 6 - 6.5 miles, but there are plenty of road crossings to bail if one needs to do so. Not all road entrances are marked well for the trail as new sections have been added over the last years.

Great trail. Several switchbacks which causes you to lose your baring a little. Beautiful day without anyone else on the trail. Could use a few more markers on the trail.

HikingGreat!

Online map is a bit off. It's a single trail connecting 2 loops (South and North). Connecting trail is the exit signs on each loop. Very nice trail.

A nice, easy, long trail. Quite a few spots to hop off the trail and go to the water (Lake Hartwell), so wear your bathing suit and bring your water shoes!

This is a good easy trail for hiking, trail running and mountain biking. They keep it well maintained. It is has some good views of Lake Hartwell but other than the forest and some wildlife it is not as scenic as some of the other trails I've been to.

Hiking

This is a nice forest trail. I clocked it at 7 miles to do the whole thing. The trail is easy to follow except at one post that has “loop” and “exit” marked on it, if you want to do the whole thing and started on the loop follow the exit sign. Follow AllTrails it will help. A couple of the road crossings were confusing also. Lovely lake views in March, probably less when the leaves come in. Wildlife: lot of birds, deer, squirrel and I even saw a skunk (at a distance thankfully). Only saw a couple of bikers and a trail runner so not crowded today.

sure it's a nice hike through the woods the trails need to be cleaned up and marked better so people don't get turned around. it is a nice place would like to go camping & fishing some day.

I’m new to MTB. This was a great trail for newbies like me. Had plenty of roots and a few up hills. Nice view of the lake and I never had an issue seeing the trail.

Hiking

Started off as a nice walk through the woods...went downhill from there. It is a nice area if you don't want a strenuous hike or if you'd like to just walk out in nature. Be careful which trails you go on. They aren't marked well. Somehow I walked 6.5 miles and managed to not go round trip. Thankfully I had reception to look at the map on here and took the road back to the car.
