Nice, easy paved trail with a few hills. Follows the Catawba River & has access to the river for kayakers & floaters.

Little disappointed in the opportunity for my dog to play in the water. But the entire walk is within eye shot of the river.

This trail it could be tricky, why? Well once you begging the pathway gives you the impression it just a pathway by the lake for fishing, walk, jogs and biking. At some point you hit the entrance of the hiking trails. The blue and green and there’s another off trail path. Overall is challenging. There’s a creek in between. At some point at the top of the mountain there’s a mountain bike trail as well. There should be more information about it. That’s my only complaint.

This is a very nice trail. I stated very early in the morning and it was very quiet. . The trails is beautifully maintained . it is paved and runs along the river. There is plenty of shade . There are lots of trees and magnificent spots to stops and take picture. I highly recommend this trail.

Nice, wide paved path. Definitely shared use. Also, it is NOT a loop, as AllTrails description states. This is a recurring issue with this app.

Beautiful trail by the river but VERY crowded. I visited the Riverwalk trail for the first time today, but it was impossible to practice social distancing while enjoying the trail... I parked near the Pump House and turned right back around <5 minutes into the walk due to feeling uncomfortable with the crowds. The path is narrow and heavily crowded....Would love to go back once things return to normal and explore the area/spend the day on the river, but won’t be going back anytime soon.

Took my dog after I got off work. Nice trail for him to get out and stretch his legs. We only were able to do about a mile before the sun started going down. Parked at the parking area between the 2.25 and 2.5 mile post, walked to the 1.5 mile post and then turned around.

This is not hiking!! This is a greenway path that is very nice! But it’s heavily congested area with runner, bikes, family strolling, dog walker and women yacking!!! A great family day walk! Love love love the river!!! It’s a beautiful walking asphalt path with trees! PS about just over a mile of the path was closed today.

Our family loves this path to go for a walk but it's not the same as going hiking. It is always very busy with bikes, runners and dogs. Jan 20 - the end of the path is closed for construction at the 3 mile mark. We saw a bald eagle today too!

This Greenway is a well traveled paved trail bordering the Catawba River in Fort Mill, SC. Trail is well cared for and scenic views are plentiful. There are mountain biking trails and kayak access also. The AllTrails App displays this trail as 4.5 miles; I recorded 6 miles out and back. The trail does continue further up the Catawba River but was marked as closed the day I went. This portion of the Riverwalk Greenway Trail is a part of the Carolina Thread Trail, connecting North and South Carolina through several counties. This greenway is well traveled by the locals and a nice venue for out of town visitors. There’s a few rolling hills that keep your walk interesting but don’t expect much climbing. Nice for family walks and morning jogs. Parking lot is a fairly muddy area across from the “Pump House” Restaurant but there’s parking on the street if you get there early enough. If you live close enough, you’ll become a regular ... it’s worth the drive. Hike on !!

Nice trail to run on. Paved the entire way, good incline/decline, and nice views of the river. The trail did have a "trail closed" sign about 2.75 miles in, though.

Great paved trail. Easy for all except one small incline. Search YouTube for “Uncl3Mik3Mik3 Trail-Away”

City asphalt trail. Nice city walk with river on the side. Also called Piedmont Medical trail. Trail actually is longer than listed as it goes to River Park. The one way all the way to River Park is about 3.25 miles. Meaning it’s really 6.5 miles out and back.

In the summer months this trail can be very hot on the asphalt with little shade in some spots.

This is a great greenway for a nice long walk with your family or pets. All paved along the Catwaba river with some inclines. Great for walking, biking, running. It does get pretty crowded so be prepared. Will definitely be going back!

As previously mentioned, this is NOT a loop trail. 10' wide paved path with benches for resting. There are a few decent sized hills. Lots of people using the trail during the day. Follows the river for scenery. There are mountain bike trails that you enter from the trail. There is a trail map located about .5 mi into the trail from Riverwalk showing the mountain bike trails. They have green, blue and black trails available. I followed the green trail which was easy (of course) and added .5 mi to the 3 mi round trip trail. The blue trail looked to be much longer.
