From the historic site, you follow the signs along the trail around a pond (can go either way around to vary route). This trail leads to OSR and crosses to the fall trail. There is a bulletin board with information and then it is about 0.5 miles to the falls and takes you through a swamp like area/cove forest area and would probably be beautiful in the spring and fall. Old trees are also all around. The falls allow up-close access and is a 60 ft stepped waterfall that forms from headwaters atop Station Mountain.

Loved it. Was perfect for my 2 year old, dog, and myself. We had quiet a few companions that we ran into but everyone was friendly. The falls is absolutely beautiful. We took our shoes off and splashed in for a few before heading back.

Excellent well maintained trail that ends in a spectacular waterfall. It would be better if they made a loop out of the trail.

Kid friendly. Well maintained trail. I recommend stopping to talk to the ranger before beginning the trail. There was a black bear and cubs a few months ago at the trail. The ranger said they had been relocated to the area. For your safety-just check in with the ranger. A nice trail and waterfall.

The waterfall is gorgeous and the trail is super easy. You don't have to do the trail around the pond. Drive past the Historic Site on the right and the Falls trailhead has parking on the left.

Easy, level trail for kids, and lots of space to play in the water at the falls.

Easy trail. Plenty of space near falls to get in the water. Completed with my 3 & 5 year old and no complaints from then.

Great little walk with the kids! Nice and easy for our 4 year old yet entertaining for the older ones. They absolutely loved the waterfall and can't wait to do it again!

Very easy trail and can be walked in just under an hour. The falls is nice but could be more if they had more water over them.

Easy walk. Pretty falls. Be careful during summertime, there was a copperhead curled up at the base of the falls.

Easy hike and a beautiful waterfall.

Came here on a warm and sunny January day. The trail to the falls was busy and quite easy to reach. A brief 3/4 mile hike on a mostly horizontal, well-kept trail leads to the impressive waterfall. In the middle of winter it was very pretty, so I can only imagine the beauty of the trail in the summer and fall. However, the trail to the Oconee Station was confusing and frustrating. I wanted to see the 18th century fort buildings, but there were no markers to point me in their direction, and at least 3 or 4 side trails that were also unmarked. With limited time before sunset, I had to leave before seeing this attraction. The trail was pleasant but not particularly scenic (though any trail is better than no trail, so I'm not complaining).

I want to come back here soon and tackle the rest of these maddeningly vague trails!

Great easy hike- perfect for all levels. Can in the hike to Oconee State Park or hook up with FT as well as Tamassee Knob for a 10 mile round trip. Falls are beautiful!

This is a great trail and a beautiful waterfall. I would recommend parking past the main entrance. There is another small parking area where the trail crosses the road. You cut a portion of the hike, but I thought that part was boring. It does go around a lake, but I didn't think it was very pretty. You can always go to the main spot to see the historic buildings before or after your hike to the falls. There were pretty wildflowers when we went along the trail. I thought this was a pretty easy hike and it would be perfect for families.

Station cove falls is great - tons of trillium and mayapples to see. Also, buckeye bush is blooming. It's still sunny because the leaves on the tall trees are not out yet so wear sunscreen! Great waterfall too!
