From the historic site, you follow the signs along the trail around a pond (can go either way around to vary route). This trail leads to OSR and crosses to the fall trail. There is a bulletin board with information and then it is about 0.5 miles to the falls and takes you through a swamp like area/cove forest area and would probably be beautiful in the spring and fall. Old trees are also all around. The falls allow up-close access and is a 60 ft stepped waterfall that forms from headwaters atop Station Mountain.

Easy Peasy with a nice waterfall in a seemingly tropical setting.

Pretty easy trail with minimal elevation! Good trail to do with kids.

Beautiful falls. Well worth the walk in/out. Path has lots of roots so keep your eyes down. Bridges are very well maintained. Follow the blue blazed trail.

Awesome 2.6 mile out/back to a spectacular waterfall. Nice bridges, some slippery rocks. Great for kids, even small kids, and families. I had a picnic at the falls. Saw wildflowers and some also plants. I used iNaturalist to identify the plants.

A little red clay that was wet. Two bridges, a stile and a rock hop across a stream to the falls. The spring flowers are starting to bloom. I saw many Sweet Betsy trillium, both maroon and yellow. I also saw Hepatica, Rue Anemone , yellow halberd leaf violet, purple round leaf violet, bloodroot and giant chickweed.

I started from the pond, which makes it about 3.5 miles round trip. The pond is nothing to write home about and the trail isn’t that great, but the falls trail is very well marked and maintained. The falls are beautiful!

absolutely loved it. there is a random dog (nice one) that is known to "hike" the trail. he does have an owner that lives close by. he loves being petted by other hikers. also are there other waterfalls on this trail?

easy trail for a nice stroll

perfect hike

Great easy 1.2 mi in and 1.2 back to waterfall

This was a great hike with a stunning waterfall at the end! I hiked with my dog on a Sunday afternoon the first week of October. The trees were still green but starting to change a bit. It was a fun trek!

Nice trail! Well kept! Very shady.

Easy trail, well marked and kid friendly. Nice place to play in the shallow pools too. Trail is mostly shaded and the water was crisp, cool and a fun place to play.

If you like to hike start at the parking lot at the Oconee station. If you want the shorter version. Leave the Oconee station turn right go one tenth mile park one left side of road and hike to falls. From this location falls is .75 miles. If you start from parking lot it is 1.5 miles and trail crosses the road. Really easy hike. Great falls

Short hike but a great waterfall.

Quick and easy walk through the woods to a beautiful waterfall. With this waterfall on one end and a historic fort on the other, this place is great.

What a beautiful easy walk in the woods, and what a sight to end at! That waterfall is straight out of a fairy tail book. I was a little confused about where to start. When you see the signs for Oconee Station on the right coming in, you can pull in and there are restrooms and some signage, and I didn’t realize you could start the hike there. If you are looking for the shorter 1.5 hike, then you go down the street a ways, and on the left there will be a little pull off and a sign talking about the falls. Was shady and flat, and a fun time for newbies like me :)

Super easy and beautiful! Be careful getting in the water. The rocks are very slippery! Yeah I fell

Great easy trail, great for dogs and taking friends who want to see a waterfall without technicality.

Nice, easy hike. Trail is relatively flat and even. The falls are beautiful.

This trail is super easy and has a beautiful waterfall at the end. I’ve hiked this trail for years and it’s great for all ages and skill levels. The only thing is during the summer bug spray is helpful.

It's a great little path to bring the pup on, got there at a great time and got go experience the falls with no one else around. Definitely reccomend this one for an easy hike.

The trail is very kid friendly, free of fallen branches and sticks. It is overall an easy hike, it’s very flat, and the waterfall at the end was so pretty! It is shaded well. My only advice is to beware of ants. There’s a TON of ants on this trail.
