Great walk along a dirt road. Some historical elements with the old ore mines from the civil war era. You can see Charlotte thru the trees when the leaves are down, but the views would be a lot better if there weren’t quite as many trees.

nice local trail, moderately steep hill but well maintained and easy.

Rated as 3 stars since this is essentially a nice walk through the woods. Nothing overly exciting. No amazing views. If you are looking for a short hike to get into the woods, this would be good. Also an option for someone newer to hiking to get acclimated to a gradual elevation increase.

I would NOT say this is an easy hike. There is a significant hill when you begin the trail. The trail does go down hill, but as the trail doubles back on itself, you need to go uphill again.

Old gravel road. Nice Pitstop to stretch your legs but not a destination.

Peaceful little trail. Lots of shade and nature. Not too long of a hike, but easy to do in about 20 minutes or less if you don't have a lot of time.

No restrooms, 1 broken picnic table on the long trail, and no view, just a dead end on each trail. A simple hike if you are looking to expel some energy with a dog or kid.

Great trail. I went alone and no one else was around, very peaceful. I think I'll take my dog next time.

Short trail but nice get away right outside of Charlotte. Southern American Revolutionary War history. Beautiful forest with a Southern feel. Two nice picnic areas. No overlook view, mostly forest.

First trail I hiked after my C-section. Was able to manage the trail since it is covered with gravel path. Nice view and picnic shelter at the top. Interesting historical signs along the way

The Low Trail is 1+ mile each way. The High Trail is the .6 each way to and from the summit to the parking lot.

A nice hike for everyone. I brought a 5, 8 and 66 year old. It is wide, graded with nice climbs and decents. Picnic table at the end of each trail. The Lower Trail goes around the Hill/Mt and is longer than the Upper Trail. There is Revolutionary history here too. No bathrooms, but lots of trees and rocks... JRH.
