Easy, well marked, well maintained trail that runs alongside the Enoree River. There are plaques to tell you the historical significance of the area.

HikingFeeGreat!

Nice trail and I would agree with the easy rating. A little bit of undulation but not bad. I was the only person on the trail today (3/13/21) although there was a good many people around the visitors center and picnic area.

HikingFeeGreat!Muddy

Nice walk along the Enoree river shoals starting at the visitor's center parking lot. This is a pretty wide river. The trail was soggy in spots. The waterfall and longer battlefield hiking trail are located 4 miles away. You have to drive to it. I enjoyed this trail as much as the Battlefield trail which appears to be more popular due to the waterfall. The park does a good job making the history kid friendly.

Muddy from recent rains but a relaxing trail through the woods and along the river. The historical markers were fun to read along the way.

Muddy due to the rain but it was a good quick hike with kids. They have kids in parks brochures in the office/store and at the trail head with activities and info about park

SC State Parks extended their first day hike event through the weekend! Excellent time outside with the family, be prepared for some muddy spots after all this rain.

HikingGreat!

It was my first time visiting the Musgrove Mill state park. I really enjoyed the British Camp trail. It was an easy hike along the river and offered a good bit of history along the trail as well. Plans to take the grandkids over the holidays.
