This hike is a workout, there are a number of trails and options in this area, a map can be purchased from the park office. The beginning is an easy riverside walk but once you get on the Ishi Trail it basically runs up the side of the gorge. After you reach trail 6 cross to trail 20 via trail 22 (connector 1/10th of a mile long) Heading east on the Pinnacle Pass trail you will come to an awesome overlook. This is a great lunch spot. When you are ready to go it's all downhill from there, really downhill. This trail offers a lot of solitude due to it's elevation gain and loss. There is a lot to see here.

This hike is as hard as it shows, many straight up the side of a mountain spots. I wouldn't suggest bringing dogs or small children as it is very strenuous at points. The trail has one good lookout point but overall you are in a tree line most of the time. If you want a challenge this will definitely get the blood flowing.
